I am passionate about breaking down the barriers that keep us disconnected from ourselves and each other.
As an experienced collaborative attorney and certified mediator who also holds an MBA and certifications in executive coaching and yoga teaching, I weave the best tools from each of these disciplines into a beautiful braid. This multi-faceted background and interdisciplinary approach supports and serves my clients whether I am working with them as a mediator, a collaborative neutral facilitator, or a collaborative negotiation coach. Although I am a collaboratively trained attorney, in the Collaborative Process, I serve exclusively as a mediator, a collaborative neutral facilitator, or a collaborative negotiation/communication coach.
I am triple certified by the North Carolina Dispute Resolution Commission to mediate Superior Court; Family Financial; and matters pending before the Clerk of Superior Court. I am also trained as an executive coach through the Center for Executive Coaching. In 2020, I was honored to be named Lawyer of the Year by NC Lawyers Weekly.
All of my formal education is from Creighton University, a Jesuit University in Omaha, Nebraska. I am a proud triple Blue Jay, having obtained a Bachelor of Arts, a Master of Business Administration, and Juris Doctorate from Creighton University.
Giving back to my community is of paramount importance. I proudly serve on the Board of Directors of NC BarCARES; Triad Restorative Justice; and the North Carolina Civil Collaborative Law Association (Vice President). A Yoga Alliance registered yoga teacher (RYT200), I regularly speak and train on topics including The Competitive Advantage of Mindfulness in Negotiations and teach yoga for high achieving professionals.
When I am not bringing people in conflict together to find a resolution, I enjoy traveling and outdoor adventures with my husband and our two children.
