As an attorney, I enjoy helping families resolve their disputes peacefully. I love how the collaborative process enables the professionals involved in a case to focus on the needs and interests of the family members, often achieving an amazing outcome that could never happen in court. I have been practicing family law exclusively for the majority of my career as an attorney, and know that the collaborative process is truly the best option for families experiencing divorce or other conflict.
I spent my first thirteen years in Northern Virginia, then moved to the Winston-Salem area, which will always be home to me. I graduated from Salem College with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and worked in the banking industry for seven years before attaining my law degree from Elon University School of Law. After practicing for several years at other small law firms in North Carolina, I opened my own firm in 2015 in Charlotte, North Carolina, with the goal of helping clients stay out of the courtroom. Like so many others, I am forever chasing the elusive work/life balance and wishing I had more time with my husband and two daughters, who are the loves of my life and the driving force behind all that I do.
